Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
You’ve just been tattooed in a modern studio by highly trained artists — but even though the needle has stopped, the process isn’t over. Proper healing is just as important as the tattoo itself.
By following these aftercare steps, you’ll ensure your new ink stays vibrant and beautiful for years to come.

Aftercare Instructions
Aftercare (Step 1)
Remove the bandage within 1–3 hours after getting your tattoo. Gently wash the area with unscented antibacterial soap and cool water.
Do not use a washcloth or scrub.

Aftercare (Step 2)
Pat dry using a clean linen or paper towel.

Aftercare (Step 3)
Apply a thin layer of A&D Ointment or Aquaphor.
Do not use Vaseline.

Aftercare (Step 4)
For the first 3 days, wash and reapply ointment 2–3 times daily.

Aftercare (Step 5)
After day 3, continue washing the area, but switch to a non-scented lotion that contains no aloe (such as Lubriderm or Eucerin).

Aftercare (Step 6)
Avoid soaking the tattoo in baths, hot tubs, or pools for at least 2 weeks.

Aftercare (Step 7)
Stay out of direct sunlight for the first 2 weeks.
After that, apply SPF 50+ sunscreen for prolonged sun exposure.

Aftercare (Step 8)
Itching and peeling are normal, like a sunburn.
Do not pick or scratch — this can cause ink loss or scarring.
